FC 24: A Comprehensive Guide to Custom Tactics and Instructions

What's going on, guys? Oio here, and welcome EA FC Coins  back to Brand E video. Today, I'm going to show you my 4-3-3 custom tactics and instructions. The 4-3-3 formation with a CAM and two central midfielders is gaining popularity this year, and for good reason. It offers numerous attacking options, making it difficult for opponents to defend against. So, without further ado, let's dive into the details.

First, let's talk about the team I'm currently using. I have Mbappe, Dembele, and Hansen in my lineup, which many would consider a pay-to-win team. If you missed my previous custom tactic videos on the 4-3-2-1 and the 4-2-3-1 formations, be sure to check them out (link in the description). Now, let's get into the tactics and instructions for the 4-3-3.

Defensive style: Balanced.

Width: 45.

Depth: 71.

Build-up Play:

Style: Balanced.

Chance creation: Direct.

Width: 40.

Players in the box: 6.

Corners: 3.

Free kicks: 2.

You might notice that the depth is set relatively high at 71. Some may find it too high, fearing vulnerability to through balls. However, this year, setting the depth at 71 has proven to be effective due to improved AI behavior. It makes your AI defenders smarter and more proactive in pressing opponents. If you've ever faced an opponent whose AI relentlessly presses you, chances are they had a high depth setting. I've used this tactic with success in the 4-3-2-1 formation as well, and it translates well to the 4-3-3. So, don't be afraid to set the depth at 71.

On chance creation, use direct passing. This creates more space in the midfield by pushing back your opponent's defensive line. It allows for better passing options and opportunities to exploit the gaps. For players in the box, I recommend setting it to 6. In this formation, you already have enough attacking options, so you don't need too many players making runs into the box.

Let's move on to player recommendations for each position. In goal, any decent goalkeeper will do. For center backs, look for players with good pace, tackling, and solid physical attributes. Players like Rojo, Van Dijk, and Tomori are excellent choices.

For the left back and right back, you have two options. You can go for players who excel in attacking and have good ball control, such as Llorente and Zamb. This allows your fullbacks to make overlapping runs and stretch the opponent's defense. Alternatively, you can opt for players who are solid defensively while also possessing good attacking abilities, like Ferland Mendy or Dumfries. The choice depends on your preferred playstyle.

Moving on to the central midfielders, there are two approaches. You can go for a holding midfielder with box-to-box attributes, or you can choose two box-to-box midfielders. I recommend the latter, as it provides more versatility and options going forward. Players like Roque and Valverde excel in this role, contributing to both attack and defense.

The left wing and right-wing attackers, although expected to contribute defensively, don't require high defensive stats. They primarily help cover spaces rather than engage in tackles. Look for fast players who can make runs behind the defense. Dembele and Hansen are great examples.

In the striker and CAM positions, you don't necessarily need a traditional CAM. You can use a striker in the CAM position, as there is an instruction that makes the CAM behave more like a second striker. However, ensure your chosen player has a good shot and decent pace. Mbappe is a prime example of a top-class striker, but you don't necessarily need the best of the best in this formation.

Let's now discuss the instructions for specific positions:

Goalkeeper: Default settings, no special instructions required.

Center backs: Stick to normal interceptions to allow them to make the right decisions.

Left back: Default settings, as they will make overlapping runs.

Right back: Stay back while attacking, focusing on defensive duties.

Central midfielders: Stay back while attacking and cover center for  cheap FC Coins both players. This ensures they hold their positions and provide passing options.

Left wing and right-wing attackers: No specific defensive instructions needed, as they primarily help cover spaces.

Striker and CAM: The CAM should have the instruction to come short, acting as a second striker alongside the main striker.

By following these custom tactics and instructions, you can make the most of the 4-3-3 formation in FIFA 24. Remember, the key is to have a balanced team with players who suit your preferred playstyle. Experiment with different players and instructions to find what works best for you. Good luck on thefield!
